Gas South Named a Top Workplace in Atlanta For the Third Consecutive Year

ATLANTA, Ga. (August 14, 2023) – Gas South is one of the Top Workplaces in Atlanta for the third consecutive year. The Southeast’s leading natural gas provider is ranked in the top 50 on The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s prestigious list.   

The annual Top Workplaces rankings are determined by employee survey responses, crafted by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Energage, an employment research and consulting firm. More than 300 companies participated in the survey program and nearly 8,000 companies were nominated. 175 organizations made the cut this year – 25 large companies, 71 midsize companies and 79 small companies. The rankings for the 2023 Top Workplaces in Atlanta were announced on Thursday, August 10, at an awards ceremony at Atlanta’s Coca-Cola Roxy.

Gas South seeks feedback year-round to determine how the company can improve the employee experience. Employee engagement initiatives have included launching a four-week sabbatical program, non-mandated hybrid work schedule, employee resource groups and a Fuel for Good initiative that highlights exceptional team members. Most recently, Gas South also implemented a mentorship program called Trailblaze that provides opportunities for self-examination and practical leadership skills. Additionally, there are management training programs and employee-led professional growth plans available for all employees.
