Gas South Celebrates GA Gives Day

Gas South matching donations to raise funds for Fuel for Good Allies

12/3/2024

ATLANTA, Ga. (December 3, 2024) – Gas South is excited to join GA Gives Day on December 3 and rally its community to give back this Giving Tuesday.

Gas South is working to raise donations for its Fuel for Good Allies by matching public contributions – up to $10,000 per partner – to help these organizations continue their critical work supporting children and families in need across Georgia and Florida. Gas South proudly supports twelve organizations, including 100 Black Men, Covenant House, City of Refuge, and the YMCA.

“These organizations rely on year-end donations to sustain their programs, especially with the ongoing financial challenges non-profits are facing,” said Carley Stephens, senior community affairs manager at Gas South. “Through our matching program, we raise awareness for these crucial causes and amplify our neighbors’ generosity to help these organizations continue their work through the busy holiday season.”

During the GA Gives campaign, Gas South invites customers, followers, and the public to contribute through Gas South’s GA Gives Day page to support children and families in need. Donors will have the option to support one or more of Gas South’s Allies, with Gas South matching each donation dollar-for-dollar. This campaign not only raises funds but aims to spread awareness, fostering a spirit of collective generosity as the year comes to a close.

“Gas South is focused on inviting the community to Be a Fuel for Good with us to help reach the full $10k match for each of our Allies," Last year, GA Gives Day raised over $60k for Gas South’s Fuel for Good Allies, helping them continue their important work into the new year. These funds will directly support those facing critical challenges from housing needs to domestic violence to nutritious meals.

To participate, visit Gas South’s GA Gives Day page. Early giving is already open and the last day to donate is Dec. 4.

Gas South strives to Be a Fuel for Good with $4.5M philanthropic dollars given in 2023 to support nonprofits serving children and families throughout Georgia and Florida. Learn more about Gas South’s purpose to Be a Fuel for Good.
