Gas South matching donations to raise funds for Fuel for Good Allies

ATLANTA, Ga. (December 17, 2024) - Gas South is excited to announce $136k was raised on GA Gives Day for its Fuel for Good partners.

Gas South matched public donations for its Fuel for Good Allies – up to $10,000 per partner – to help these organizations continue their critical work supporting children and families in need across Georgia and Florida. Gas South proudly supports twelve organizations, including 100 Black Men, Covenant House, City of Refuge, and the YMCA.

“These organizations rely on year-end donations to sustain their programs, especially with the ongoing financial challenges non-profits are facing,” said Carley Stephens, senior community affairs manager at Gas South. “Through our matching program, we raise awareness for these crucial causes and amplify our neighbors’ generosity to help these organizations continue their work through the busy holiday season.”

During the GA Gives campaign, Gas South invited customers, followers, and the public to contribute through Gas South’s GA Gives Day page to support children and families in need. Donors had the option to support one or more of Gas South’s Allies, with Gas South matching each donation dollar-for-dollar. This campaign not only raised funds, but aims to spread awareness, fostering a spirit of collective generosity as the year comes to a close.

Last year, GA Gives Day raised over $60k for Gas South’s Fuel for Good Allies, helping them continue their important work into the new year. These funds will directly support those facing critical challenges from housing needs to domestic violence to nutritious meals.

Though GA Gives Day is past, donations are still open on Gas South’s GA Gives Day page.
