Gainesville (October 20, 2023) – Gas South, one of the largest natural gas providers in the southeastern U.S., is celebrating the opening of its newest office in Gainesville, Florida. The move from its current Gainesville office accommodates the continued growth Gas South has seen since acquiring Gainesville’s Infinite Energy in 2020.
“As we continue to expand, this new office space will better serve the needs of our more than 150 Florida employees,” said Kevin Greiner, president and CEO of Gas South. “It will help us build even stronger connections with our Florida customers and the Gainesville community.”
The new location at 5001 Celebration Pointe boasts 16,500 square feet that is more than double the old office space located near Gainesville’s Oaks Mall. Using the latest technology, Gas South’s new office is designed with innovation and collaboration in mind. It offers over 100 collaborative workspaces, numerous conference rooms, a dedicated training space, 26 offices, a call center designed for 29 users and three working neighborhoods with 16-18 workstations. There is also an upgraded kitchen space, dedicated wellness room, a lounge, and an on-site gym.
Moving to Celebration Pointe has strategically positioned Gas South amidst a vibrant hub of entertainment and dining options, which will help build relationships with university leaders and local business owners.
“Our team at the Chamber and our community are so excited to see Gas South not only expand, adding jobs, customers and really helping to drive economic development of our region,” said Eric Godet, president and CEO of the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce. “We are also glad to witness how being engaged in the community, how giving back is part of their core purpose and vision.”
In September, Gas South donated funds that made it possible for Alachua County’s North Central Florida YMCA to open its first STREAM lab (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art and Mathematics). And in August, as part of a special volunteerism push, Gas South employees volunteered 152 hours with area nonprofits Food4Kids, Bread of the Mighty Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House and SW Advocacy Group.
“Gas South is an incredible partner that not only serves the community but loves to give back and make a positive impact. We are excited to celebrate the opening of their new office,” said Angela Howard, president and CEO of the North Central Florida YMCA.
